　　01 简单句(句中只有一个谓语动词)

　　1.以谓语为中心找到主干(比如：主+谓+宾)

　　She gets up early every morning to catch the early bus.

　　她每天很早起床，为的是赶早班车。

　　We have finished our task. 我们已经完成了工作。

　　2.分析枝干：定语，状语。

　　翻译方法：定语：......的+ 名词

　　状语：位置灵活

　　A hungry cat from countryside is eating fish. 一只从乡下来的饥饿的猫在吃鱼。

　　A cat quickly ate fish by the river. 一只猫在河边很快地吃了鱼。

　　02 简单句(句中只有一个谓语动词)

　　and(不翻译)，but(但是), or (否则)

　　It is a dry season, and everything is easy to catch fire.

　　天干物燥，小心火烛。

　　The boy is only ten, but he can do some washing himself.

　　这个男孩才 10 岁，但是他能自己洗一些东西了。

　　Let’s take the stone away, or there may be an accident.

　　让我们把石头移开，否则，可能会有意外。

　　常考的并列词

　　1. 表并列: and 和

　　2.表递进：况且，此外 ：besides = in addition (用时，后有逗号)，moreover ,what’s more , furthermore

　　3.表转折：但是：but 然而：however, nevertheless

　　4.表因果: 因此，所以：so ,therefore ,hence

　　03 从句

　　步骤：

　　(1)找从句

　　(2)判断从句类型

　　名词性从句

　　主从(V/be 前)

　　宾从(V/介词后)

　　表从(be 后)

　　同位从(抽象名词后)

　　(1) 主语从句的翻译(V/be 前)

　　A. 较短的主从采用顺译法(即从前往后翻译)

　　What I need is your support.

　　我需要的是你的支持。

　　Who violates the disciplines must be criticized.

　　谁违犯了纪律, 谁就必须受到批评。

　　B. 较长的主从采用逆译法(即从后向前翻译)

　　Why the housing price is increasing is clear.

　　清楚的是，房价为什么在上涨。

　　That he finished writing the composition in such a short time surprised us all.

　　令我们惊奇的是，他在这么短的时间内完成了作文。

　　C. 由 it 作形式主语引导的主语从句，翻译时视情况可以提前，也可以不提前， “it”不译。

　　It seemed inconceivable that the pilot survived after the crash.

　　驾驶员在飞机坠毁之后还活着，这看来是不可想象的。(提前)

　　It is strange that she should fail to see her own shortcomings.

　　奇怪的是，她竟然没有看出自己的缺点。(不提前)

　　(2) 宾语从句的翻译(V/介词后)

　　A. 采用顺译法(即从前往后翻译)

　　I understand that he is well qualified, but I thought he needs more experience.

　　我知道他完全够条件，但我觉得他需要更多的经验。

　　B. 用 it 作形式宾语的句子, 翻译时 that 引起的宾语从句视情况可以提前, 也 可以不提前,“it”不译。

　　I take it for granted that we should work hard.

　　我理所当然地认为，我们应该努力工作。(也可译为：我认为我们应该努力工作，这是理所当然的。)

　　(3) 表语从句的翻译(be 后)

　　采用顺译法(即从前往后翻译)

　　The problem is who will travel with me the day after tomorrow.

　　问题是后天谁和我一起去旅行。

　　(4) 同位语从句的翻译(抽象名词后)

　　A. 从句+的+名词

　　He expressed the hope that he would like to visit China again.

　　他表达了他想要再次到中国参观的这个希望。

　　B. 同位语从句提前

　　It does not alter the fact that he is responsible for the delay.

　　迟延应由他负责，这个事实是改变不了的。
